After Love
Short narrative
A short fantasy romance exploring the relationship between heaven and hell, morality and human connection.

After Love follows Nyx and Katie as they move from enemies to lovers on their journey through the realms of the living and dead. Set between a heavenly administration office, Purgatory and the chocolate box towns of the Cotswolds.

I designed a different aesthetic for each realm. For the opening Angel Office setting, I played with monochrome and minimalism to give a surreal twist to the heaven aesthetic.
For Purgatory I stuck to specific symbolic intentions for the colour I used within a blacked-out space and water-like floor, inspired by 'Under The Skin'(2013).

For the exterior coffee stall build, I drew inspiration from the independent coffee movement and 'hipster' style which is associated with it. This was to draw a stark contrast to the other fantastical worlds within the film.
